Privacy Policy - Prime Rep

Data We Collect

Prime Rep collects the following information to provide and improve our workout tracking services:

Workout Data

Exercise names, sets, reps, weights, durations, rest times, notes, and personal records

Health & Fitness Data

Heart rate, calories burned, workout durations, body measurements (weight, body fat percentage), and data synced from Apple Health (when authorized)

Location Data (Cardio Workouts Only)

GPS coordinates for outdoor cardio activities (running, cycling, hiking) to track routes and distance. Only collected during active cardio sessions when you enable GPS tracking.

Account Information

Email address, display name, profile photo (optional), age, gender, height, weight, and activity level

Usage Analytics

App interactions, feature usage, workout completion rates, device type, OS version, and crash reports to improve app performance and stability

Subscription Information

Subscription tier, purchase history, and renewal dates (payment details are handled securely by Apple and never stored by us)

How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively for the following purposes:

App Functionality: Tracking your workouts, calculating progress metrics, generating insights, and syncing across your devices
Apple Watch Integration: Displaying workout data on your Apple Watch, Live Activities, and home screen widgets
Apple Health Sync: Writing workout data to Apple Health (when authorized) and reading heart rate data during workouts
Personal Records: Identifying and celebrating your PRs, tracking strength gains, and calculating 1RM estimates
Analytics & Improvement: Understanding how users interact with features to improve the app and fix bugs
Notifications: Sending workout reminders, rest day alerts, PR celebrations, and streak warnings (when enabled)

Data Security

Your data security is our top priority:

Firebase Backend: All data is stored securely on Google Cloud Firebase with industry-standard encryption
Encrypted Transmission: All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS 1.3 encryption
Authentication: Firebase Authentication protects your account with secure password hashing
Access Control: Only you can access your workout data. We use Firestore security rules to ensure data isolation between users
No Sharing: We never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes
Local Storage: Sensitive settings and preferences are stored securely on your device using iOS Keychain and AsyncStorage

Third-Party Services

Prime Rep uses the following trusted third-party services:

Firebase (Google Cloud)

We use Firebase for:

User authentication and account management
Cloud database (Firestore) for workout data storage
Cloud storage for profile photos and AR share recordings
Anonymous usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)

Apple Services

We integrate with:

Apple Health (HealthKit): Read heart rate data and write workout summaries (requires your explicit permission)
Apple Push Notification Service: Deliver workout reminders and notifications
Apple Watch: Sync workout data between iPhone and Apple Watch
StoreKit: Process in-app subscription purchases (handled entirely by Apple)

Data Tracking

We do NOT track you for advertising purposes.

Prime Rep does not:

Track you across other companies' apps or websites
Sell your data to advertisers or data brokers
Use your data for targeted advertising
Share your workout data with third parties without your consent

All analytics collected are anonymous and used solely to improve the app experience.

Data Export & Deletion

Export Your Data

You can export all your workout data at any time:

Open Prime Rep → Settings → Export Data
Choose CSV (spreadsheet) or JSON (full data structure)
Select date range (all time, last 30/90/365 days)
Receive a complete copy of your workouts, exercises, and personal records

Delete Your Data

You have full control over your data:

Delete Individual Workouts: Swipe left on any workout in your history
Delete Account: Settings → Profile → Delete Account removes all data permanently
Contact Us: Email support@primerep.org to request data deletion

Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All workout data, personal records, and subscription access will be lost.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have additional rights:

Right to Know: Request details about data we collect and how it's used
Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
Right to Opt-Out: We don't sell data, so no opt-out is needed
Right to Non-Discrimination: We won't discriminate against you for exercising your rights

GDPR (European Users)

If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have additional rights under GDPR:

Legal Basis: We process your data based on consent and contractual necessity
Data Portability: Export your data in machine-readable format (JSON)
Right to Object: Object to data processing for marketing (we don't do marketing)
Right to Rectification: Correct inaccurate data in Settings → Profile
Data Retention: We retain data as long as your account is active, then delete within 30 days of account deletion

Children's Privacy

Prime Rep is not intended for users under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at support@primerep.org and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email.

Your continued use of Prime Rep after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
